Good Times

Your song for the month of June.

This song has always been a favorite of mine. There is no literal connection for me, apart from the memories I made, while singing and performing in England. This was always a song I included in my repertoire and performances.

It takes me back to my 20’s and the hotels and restaurants I performed at in London and South England mostly, where I would set myself up with my keyboard, or baby grand (in one of the venues) and enjoy the few hours of entertaining, with the moments of acknowledgment from the few listeners as they were eating, drinking and being merry! I gained a lot of experience doing those gigs, and made a lot of friends, too. It takes some stamina singing and performing for 3 hours at a time, 3 to 4 times a week.
