Let an Awakening Begin

This song is a bittersweet one, and for reasons that I cannot divulge at this time. But SO appropriate for where I’m at in particular areas of my life right now.

Pink’s controversial ‘What About Us’ wakes us up, gets us asking questions, and gets us thinking.

Whether you see the meaning of the song from a political standpoint, or something pertaining to your personal or professional life, it gets us asking whether what we are doing (whatever this may be) is sustainable, and whether we are going to support limited and self-serving ideals.

I always talk about doing a check with yourself, whether it’s an end-of-the-day couple of minutes, or a reflective end-of-the-week-er, just to check in with You, like an inventory.

Sometimes we don’t have the answers immediately, but they are revealed with time! Certain choices, offers, people and situations can be very appealing at first, and then the cracks start to show down the line; they creep up from behind without you realising. You just don’t know any better, you look for the best in the situation. Those choices, offers, people or situations exploit the hell out of you for profit and trample on you in the process.

For some, this has been a long road, and you may be tired of living in a world that regurgitates one injustice after another, again in different aspects of our lives.

Don’t give up, you’re closer than you think. Regain control in your life and achieve everything and anything you want.

Repeat after me: “No matter what, you cannot break me!”
