Allison Kietzman Head Shot.jpg

As an acting, singing and dance coach Allison’s passion and goal is for her students to learn how to throw away their fears so that they may truthfully dive into each character /role they may play. To learn how important an actors role can be in the world today and Using movement and voice exercises to stretch them as a performer and to help her students find which “method” works for them. She also sees Speech and Drama as a fabulous confidence boosting tool for little ones and can also be a way for them to express their feelings and release their emotions.

For as long as she can remember Allison has been in love with performance, dance and song. Growing up, she spent hours watching Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, Kathreine Hepburn, Fred Astaire,  Marlon Brando and many more light up the stage and screen. Her path was set and so was her love for the stage and the craft of being actor, singer and dancer.

While attending school at St Mary’s DSG, she was given the incredible opportunity to study Music (Voice 1st instrument), Music Performance (Piano)  and Drama all the way to Matric, while also dancing in the Natal Youth Ballet company and competing at a world championship level in Highland Dancing. After school she went on to study Performing arts at the Waterfront Theatre School, in Cape Town and thereafter went to Italia Conti Academy for Performing Arts in London. It was a dream come true to be studying under some incredible teachers and coaches and to be acting alongside some incredibly talented students and actors.

Highlights from Allison’s college years was to play Abigail in Arthur Millers, The Crucible,  in Cape Town. Other career highlights are My Fair Lady (The Playhouse 2009) and playing the role of Antonia in the 1965 Broadway musical,  Man of La Mancha (Catalina Theatre).  She has also guest choreographed for a number of productions and competitions over the years. Some of the roles on Allison’s bucket list are, Maureen in the musical Rent and Milly in Atholl Fugards People are Living There and Cassie in A Chorus Line.

Allison Is married and is the proud mamma of her hilariously funny and gorgeous son Preston.

To grasp the full significance of life is the actor's duty, to interpret it is his problem, and to express it his dedication. - Marlon Brando

Vocal Coaching for Adults

Vocal Coaching for Professionals

Luminous Kids.jpg

Durban based performer and vocal coach, Samantha Landers, began Luminous; an initiative designed to inspire and continue to grow adult vocalists wishing to maintain or expand their singing technique. Working as a vocal coach for ten years, Samantha became frustrated that after years of vocal training in school, singers would then go on to perform in the industry without coaching. As a well-known performer herself, she realised the struggle of trying to maintain vocal stamina and improve her own technique without a coach to hold her accountable. A big part of her coaching job then became vocal rehabilitation for singers that had blown out their voices because of extended singing seasons without keeping their health in check. Luminous began as an affordable platform where adult singers (both amateur and professional) could work on improving their vocal health in a safe, supportive environment, with the support of a coach and other singers to keep them inspired.

Two years of successful vocal courses and masterclasses later, Samantha is expanding this brand and is proud to introduce ‘Luminous Kids’; a platform where young singers will be introduced to the world of performance and given the opportunity to take their skills beyond the classroom. ‘Luminous Kids’ will provide a fun, dynamic, innovative space where singers will grow their performance abilities, including solo singing, harmony work, group performance and dance, as well as be introduced to branding and presentation as an artist. ‘Luminous Kids’ will bridge the gap between one on one training and the performance world and artists will learn the skills required to take their talent to the next level.

“I could not be more excited to introduce the next generation of performers, to the wonderful heavy-weights that I have been privileged enough to work with. I want to bring back the art of performance - teaching young singers about the industry standard and helping to grow the arts in South Africa”.

‘Luminous Kids’ launches in July 2019. Watch Project Performer and ‘Luminous’ on Facebook for more details.

Skye Embleton

Individual and Group Acting Classes - Stage and Film

5 - 15 years old

There is nothing quite like the rising of the curtain on opening night with the knowledge that people have come to see what you can do, allowing themselves to get lost in the moment. That sheer feeling of joy, fear and excitement that takes over your body as you stand there on stage is the reason I love performing arts.

Acting and performing is who I am and it allows me to express myself in more ways then one. I have participated in a multitude of shows that include both school productions and outside productions. I was privileged enough to be a a part of the Project Performer Programme of 2019 where I learnt from some of the industries best.

I want so many others to feel the intensity of theatre because I truly believe that theatre has the ability to change the world. I want to share the knowledge that I have with so many others so that they can go on out and show the world what they are made of.
