JHB Scout Marco Fourie

Marco Fourie completed his B.Mus studies at the University of Pretoria in the year 2000. His main subjects were piano, method of piano, voice, method of voice, music therapy and German as foreign language.
He studied vocal training with famous coaches like George Kok, Eric Muller and Sarita Stern.
On stage he has performed the role of Tamino from Die Zauberflöte by Mozart and the role of Edgardo from Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti.
In 2016 he was part of the Black Tie Ensemble run by Mimi Coertse.
After he completed his tertiary studies he became a music educator. He held teaching positions at Crawford College Sandton and Pretoria High School for Girls.
Currently he has a full time post at the Deutsche Internationale Schule where he teaches music for grade 5 to 9 and Musik Abitur for grade 10-12 students.
Other activities include individual tuition for piano students, vocal coaching in classical singing, musical theatre, pop singing, electronic keyboard, music theory, music appreciation and preparing students for UNISA, ABRSM, Rockschool and Trinity College of London music exams.
